                 Network and Security Project Manager


Salary:                 £55,000 – £60,000 + Benefits

Location:             Hatfield (2 -3 Day Office Based Per Week)

This role


Your role as a Project Manager with my Client will see you manage entire projects of work-streams on larger projects and programmes. These may be delivered within a projects and portfolio office or could be stand alone projects. Your scope of activity can range from pre-sales (leading, scoping, estimating, and designing the project or assuring the solution), through delivery and into closure. You will need to understand and work with different commercial models (e.g. Fixed Price, Time and Materials or Resource on Demand).

Experience of delivering Network and/or Security focused projects across multiple sites, including elements of managing pre-configuration activities. Able to demonstrate knowledge of delivering (end-to-end implementation) LAN / WAN / WiFi / Privileged Access Management / End Point Protection / Identity & Access Management, working within industry recognised methodologies.

Key Knowledge

  • Able to demonstrate the value of project management to internal and external customers.
  • Understand the wider context of the projects you are leading.
  • Skilled in project management methodology, for example, Prince2 or Agile techniques.
  • A track record of delivering less-complex large assignments and successful project outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Able to apply influencing skills appropriately to enable the required outcomes for your stakeholders and to enable positive assignment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Your main responsibility is meeting the commitments made to customers and internal stakeholders to successfully deliver the assignment you are leading.
  • You’re expected to understand and be able to articulate to our customers what Computacenter sells and delivers and have a good working knowledge of the technology/solution.
  • You’ll be responsible for delivering your assignments in accordance with our Practice Professional Performance Standards.
  • Additional tasks will include change management, business management, contract management, and being able to manage project finances responsibly and effectively. You may also have responsibility of a team.
