My client is looking for

A Development Database Administrator to join a team of highly skilled Developers responsible for building and maintaining business critical database systems.

The team is responsible for building bespoke data and database solutions, primarily using SQL Server.

In this role, every millisecond counts in the running of the website and our systems. Working in a hugely demanding data environment with thousands of transactions taking place every second, the opportunities to develop as a data professional at bet365 are second to none.

Preferred skills and experience

Extensive commercial database development experience, preferably with SQL 2012 or later.

Excellent T-SQL skills.

Proven experience working with large and complex OLTP databases in a high concurrency and high throughput environment.

Strong performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting skills.

Exposure to replication, SSIS and SQL Reporting Services.

Experience in application development using C#, Java or Go is desirable.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects with independent deadlines and deliverables.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to interact with all levels of stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

Developing highly performant SQL Server solutions.

Assisting in the continuous improvement and maintenance of data and database systems.

Being heavily involved in the day to day running of the business dealing with support and performance issues.

Contributing to data and database solutions both independently and as part of the wider development function.
